About AgnusImages
“Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." (John 1:29)

John the Baptist was the first to identify Jesus as the Lamb of God, or Agnus Dei, in Latin. This identification inaugurated Jesus' public ministry of teaching and preaching God's message of love and forgiveness.

Originally, propagation of The Word depended mostly on the spoken language. Then, Paul's missionary activity was accompanied by various letters to churches he founded. Eventually, Jesus' own message was put down on papyrus and the writing of the Gospels began to take shape.

The visual artists, however, were the primary conduits for conveying divine love to believers who could not read or write. Through stained glass windows, paintings and sculptures, artisans labored to transmit God’s message of unlimited forgiveness, healing and salvation. Our preferred method of evangelization, too, does not involve words.

Now, in the 21st century, religious artists have traded paint and stretched canvases for pixels and digital cameras. But, without compromise, their sincere desire remains as true as their predecessor’s – to orient their talents toward the infinite beauty of God through the work of human hands.

Very rightly the fine arts are considered to rank among the noblest activities of man's genius, and this applies especially to religious art and to its highest achievement, which is sacred art.

We at AgnusImages aim to provide high-quality photographs and illustrations to publishers and designers of Christian materials. Our goal is to empower them to spread the Good News while at the same time encouraging Christian artists to take pride in their craft by displaying their work to a worldwide audience of customers, 24 hours a day.
